Most recently, Sahara Sam’s Oasis added an outdoor area to the West Berlin location, bringing an entirely different experience to the entertainment complex.
Now, Sahara Sam’s is continuing its expansion with the recent announcement of plans to build Diggerland USA – a construction themed adventure park – adjacent to the indoor/outdoor water park.
Director of Marketing and PR at Sahara Sam’s Oasis, Chris Peters, said Diggerland will bring “buckets of fun for everyone.”
“While Diggerland will operate as a separate park, its close proximity will allow us to give consumers what we are already great at producing – a fun, safe and family-friendly experience,” he said.
Set for a summer opening, Diggerland USA will be the first park of its kind in North America. There are four Diggerland Adventure Parks in the United Kingdom.
"Our entire team is comprised of professionals who are never completely satisfied with their work; we can always do better, we can always innovate and we can always bring more value to our guests with experiences that cannot take place anywhere else," Peters said. "Our mission is to ‘be the premier choice in family entertainment through innovative design and exceptional service in a safe, friendly and fun atmosphere,' and we take that pretty seriously."
Sahara Sam’s Oasis President and CEO Ilya Girlya and the Girlya family has owned and operated SAMBE General Contracting for many years, according to Peters.
"Construction is certainly not foreign to them," he said. "The Diggerland USA program, while new to the public, has actually been in the works for a few years now, including some recent trips across the pond to work with the Diggerland UK operations, marketing and management teams."
